Sound familiar?

What are you still holding on to?

one

All the “rules” about what you should be eating, how you should look, and what weight you should be.

two

Guilt about not eating the “right” foods — but you're not even sure what those are anymore!

three

Your youth and how you used to look, instead of embracing the beauty of your age.

four

The daily struggle: all that stuff that makes you feel like you're not enough.

“It's time to let all that go and find that sweet spot where there is no doubt.
It's time to start really living.”

Sibel Golden, PhD

Hello, I'm Sibel

I've walked this road too.

“Like you, I've had personal challenges with eating, weight, and body image. I've yo-yo'd, roller-coastered, New Year's resolutioned, punished and rewarded, deprived and binged — over and over.”

That journey is why I love working with courageous women who want to find peace and freedom with food and body image. For over 25 years, my passion has been helping women find radical self-acceptance and practical solutions that cultivate freedom and joy — and reclaim all the time and energy these struggles steal.

Some stories don't come out in words alone. Creative practices open doors that talking can't — and no artistic experience is required. Truly, none.

Good questions

Frequently asked

What's the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy explores life questions and issues in a depth-oriented framework — often longer-term, and it may examine your history and relationships. Coaching takes a more goal-oriented perspective: generally shorter-term, with an emphasis on motivation and inspiration.
What happens at the very first session?
Everything starts with a free 20–30 minute phone consultation so we can see if we're a good fit. A first therapy session focuses on information gathering and getting to know each other. Coaching clients receive preparatory questions beforehand, and the 80-minute first session ends with concrete action steps.
What are the fees?
Individual psychotherapy is $150 for 60 minutes, payable at the time of service (cash, check, debit/credit, or PayPal). Coaching runs $175 for the 80-minute introductory session, or $435 for the welcome package — one 80-minute session plus three 45-minute follow-ups within 3 months.
Do you take insurance?
Sibel is not currently on insurance panels, but out-of-network benefits may apply if your plan covers them — worth checking! Coaching sessions are not covered by insurance.
How often do we meet?
Therapy sessions run 60 minutes, typically weekly at first, sometimes moving to biweekly. Coaching follow-ups are usually 45 minutes, scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly — whatever fits your life.
Can we work by phone or video?
Yes — phone and video sessions are available for coaching clients, and therapy clients can use phone check-ins for urgent matters between sessions.
Is everything confidential?
Sessions are completely confidential, with few exceptions. If it helps your care, you can sign a release so Sibel can coordinate with your doctors or treatment team.
